A green Woodlands waterway trolley drives under a bridge near the Riverwalk

In this photo, a Woodlands trolley drives under a bridge toward the riverwalk. Behind the bus in the distance is the Woodlands Mall off of I-45. These green buses drive all around the city all day til dusk.

This is the 64-story Williams Tower skyscraper on Post Oak blvd

This extremely tall skyscraper is the 64-story Wililams Tower on Post Oak. It's 901 feet tall and used to be called the Transco tower. It's the tallest building in uptown Houston, and its construction was completed in 1983. I composed it in a way to make it feel overpowering and invincible. That and other choices I made brought out a feeling of mass and smallness to the viewer. There's a grittiness that I don't think gets appreciated enough, which adds to the mood when brought out.

This is the downtown Houston skyline from Sam Houston Park

This is the iconic downtown Houston Texas skyline. This was photographed near Sam Houston Park. The colors of the sky reflect onto the buildings nicely and I accentuated their shine as much as possible, to help recreate the feeling you have standing in front of it. It's a big feeling and it's amazing to see them come together. Modern cities full of skyscrapers have an effect on you when you're there.

The Palisade Palms Condominium on East Beach in Galveston Texas

This is the Palisade Palms resort at East Beach, in Galveston Texas. They were built in 2008 and contain 288 luxury units. Each tower is 27 stories high. I had a good walk to get where I wanted. There's a grassy field in front of it and then the beach and ocean. In this photo, I wanted a feeling of opulence, and composed it in a way that you feel the luxury and overwhelming size of these towers on the sand. Some of the choices I made added a nice feel and created a good mood.

The sun shine thru the clouds over an empty field except one remaining tree

This is a beautiful field with one tree out in the middle, and the sun shining through the clouds. The sun gave me very nice shine onto the field which I did my best to accentuate. It was on and off again raining all day, but it gave me amazing clouds to work with. You're not supposed to shoot into the sun, but I think it's fun and interesting.

The Woodlands waterway under the setting sun near the Huntsman building

The sun sets over the Woodlands waterway. It's a 1.8 mile riverwalk with beautiful landscaping alongside most of it. This riverwalk is near I-45 in the Woodlands near the Anadarko towers. At one area near center square, there are restuarants and sometimes live music. People are walking their dogs and exercising here most of the day. I used many elements to create a cool blue feeling on this day. I included the amazing asiatic jasmine in the composition.

Tour buses line up along Macys outside the Galleria Mall in Houston

On the left, tour buses are all parked in a line alongside Macy's at the Galleria Mall in Houston. The Galleria Mall is famous, and built in 1970. I've seen more than a few celebrities walking around in there. On the right, is an extremely large parking garage, and in the distance another. This composition was done at night and I accentuated the streets and their intersections, along with the colors of the lights and surrounding objects. I created a mood that feels unique and this is a personal favorite photo of mine. I stood there a while that night trying to get all the colors I wanted to be this vibrant.
