In this photo, a Woodlands tour trolley drives under a bridge toward the riverwalk in the city center. Behind the trolley in the distance is the Woodlands Mall off of I-45. The Woodlands recently attained six new green trolleys bringing the total to ten.
Williams Tower on Post Oak blvd is 909-feet tall. It has 64 floors which are an average of 14ft in height per level. It was once known as the Transco tower when it was built in 1983. It's the tallest skyscraper in uptown Houston. I waited for the right day and time to go, and I used the lighting, composition, and other choices to create an amazing mood.
This is the iconic skyline of downtown Houston Texas, with its many beautiful and history filled buildings. It's an old city founded in 1836, and is the fourth largest in the US. Houston has over 150 highrise buildings but these are the largest which dominate the skyline as you drive or walk around the city.
The Palisade Palms resort on East Beach in Galveston was built in 2008. It consists of two 27-story towers and contains 288 units. It overlooks the sands and ocean of East Beach. I waited for a perfectly clear and bright day and composed this in a way to create an amazing feel.
This open field has a beautiful old oak tree remaining. Whoever cleared this field surely left the best one. It looks amazing with the rays of sunlight shining through the clouds. The way the light hits the field is amazing. I brought out as much detail as I could in this landscape.
This is the Woodlands Waterway north of Houston. It's a 1.8 mile stretch of riverwalk in the city's center. On this late afternoon, I watched the sunset on the waters. It looked amazing as a beam of light hit the waterway creating sparkling waters.
This is outside the Macy's side of the Galleria Mall in Houston. A line of tour buses park along the street on this night. I composed this in a way to frame the busy street and capture the lights and feel of the night. I stayed there for a while working to get the colors so vibrant.
