Palisade Palms Resort on Galveston's East Beach
This is the Palisade Palms resort at East Beach, in Galveston Texas. The resort was built in 2008 and contains 288 luxury units. Each tower is 27 stories high. I had a good walk to get where I wanted. There's a grassy field in front of it and then the beach and ocean. In this photo, I wanted a feeling of opulence, and composed it in a way that you feel the luxury and overwhelming size of these towers on the sand. I waited for a bright clear day to get overwhelming lighting. My composition and other choices created an amazing mood.
