Masai Giraffe or Giraffa Camelopardalis Tippelskirchi Are The World's Tallest Species

This is a close up photo of the face of a Masai Giraffe, the world's tallest species.

That's one beautiful Masai giraffe or Giraffa camelopardalis tippelskirchi. These giraffes can be distinguished by several distinct features including their color pattern and having two ossicones on their head.

In nature, they live in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. These aren't just the tallest animals in the world. Masai Giraffes are the tallest of even all the giraffe species.

A Masai Giraffe, the world's tallest animal, walks and exercises in an outdoor habitat of mainly dirt.

Here you can get another view of the ossicones on top of their head. They can be used similarly to horns when neck fighting, and help with regulating temperature. They're also devices for knowing their proximity to branches for example.

Life can be good when you're the tallest species in the world. They're designed to get food from high up places that most animals can't get to.

This Masai was enjoying some exercise in its beautiful sunny habitat. Being up to 19 feet tall, these giraffes have long legs to exercise.
