This is a famous River Oaks mansion in Houston and it's home to Lakewood Church preacher Joel Osteen. It was built in 2008, and built from stone block materials which were white washed. White washing can happen from rolling on paint or dyed cement. It's an extra layer of protection from weather which is necessary because Houston Texas is extremely hot and humid. This famous mansion is in the middle of Houston's version of Beverly Hills, known as River Oaks or R.O. to some people. Then, there's a baby Beverly Hills down the street known as Tanglewood. This famed luxury home is well over 15k square feet. I composed this photo in a way that would feel luxurious and glamorous. With all the choices, it feels like being in a movie where the boss is arriving at the gates of a mysterious compound. There's also a feeling of nostalgia adding to the mood and some surrealism.

It's too wide to compose all in one frame while maintaining a close feel. I chose this composition to add to the luxurious feel I wanted and to make you feel connected to pure richness. That and some of the other choices created a great mood.
