Red Blooms of Bottlebrush Plant
Everytime I walk past bottle brush plants in bloom, I feel that I must stop and stare. It's one of my favorite things to see in a landscape, especially when they're limbed up into trees. Unfortunately a real freezing cold snap, will often end it. After that happens, people are reluctant to start over. Texas is a unique place because it's extremely hot in summer, but winter can still get to the low 20's and occasionanlly less than that. So our summer loving plants for zone 9b can be in a less than ideal situation if that happens.
