Close up of the Galápagos Tortoise Walking
This is the Galápagos Tortoise or Geochelone nigra, who suddenly decided to take a stroll through this field.
They can weigh up to 600lbs so you don't want to put your feet under one.
They naturally live to be very old, 150 years, and this one is said to be around 100 years old, so approximately 2/3 of lifespan.
I managed to get the photo before this giant dinosaur turtle could escape.
Fortunately for me, they don't move extremely fast, but faster than you might think.
