Cheetah Rests in the Shade Cleaning Its Spotted Fur

A Cheetah laying in a shaded area of a habitat cleans its fur.

This Cheetah or Acinonyx jubatus is amazingly spotted. Cheetahs each have their own unique set of black spots on their fur. This big cat is keeping its fur coat clean with a fur bath in the shade.

There's no animal faster than this one. Cheetahs have been clocked running up to 65 mph. They eat antelope, impalas, gazelle, and birds too.

They can be instantly recognized by their black spotted fur and the vertical black lines below their eyes. This Cheetah is likely well fed because it was extremly peaceful with a bright shiny coat.
