New Springwoods Village Headquarters Campus of ExxonMobil Near Houston

Behind those trees is where construction started for the new ExxonMobil campus north of Houston.

Just behind those trees in 2011, Exxonmobil began construction of their new headquarters north of Houston, Texas. It would take another three years to complete the huge city-like campus.

This is in an area of Spring known as Springwoods Village off of interstate 45. It was previously a very large wooded area just south of The Woodlands.

This winding road is the first thing ExxonMobil built at their Springwoods Village Headquarters, along with cyclone fencing, a guard booth, power and construction lighting.

This is early 2011, when Exxonmobil's construction company had just cleared a long winding road off the freeway feeder, so all the trucks and workers could get in and out. This booth with a security guard inside was one of the first things they did, along with running electric power in.

Right after they cleared tons of trees, they installed that temporary cyclone fence around the place. You can see how they built the small telephone poles carrying in power, and lighting up all the construction areas. They took safety very seriously and there were signs everywhere reminding workers to follow protocols and be safe, as well as meeting code for needed postings.

This is right after breaking ground on the massive new ExxonMobil Campus when Oil Company representatives were meeting with construction managers and inspectors.

This photo shows some of the top people holding their first on-site meetings in 2011, right after the ground-breaking. The lead construction managers were meeting with Exxonmobil representatives and local inspectors to talk about the project that was about to start.

The campus was massive even for a company like Exxonmobil and construction lasted from the time these photos were taken in 2011 all the way through 2014. I've since photographed the final entrances which are amazing. I plan to add those photos soon, so stay tuned.

This is the final main entrance the ExxonMobil headquarters north of Houston.

15 years later, with the landscaping grown up beautifully, you can see the grand main entrance to the headquarters campus. Behind those trees on the left side, is the main building.

This view of the main entrance to the Exxonmobil campus shows the concrete bridge with steel access gates.

This view of the finalized main entrance shows the bridge in use, and is a nice look at the grand steel gates. The campus is rated to accomodate up to 10k people, like workers and visitors.
