I'm Timothy Courtney, and I founded the Made in Gimp movement. Back in 2015, I published the first ever video game to be made using Gimp for all the art, called Lucas the Game. I've published multiple games, paintings, and thousands of photos using G.I.M.P. or GNU Image Manipulation Program. For over 20 years, I've refused to use any other graphics editors for my projects, because Gimp is the most powerful.

As a photographer, I've had my media on every major TV network in Houston, many regional programs, and many websites from news to leisure and travel. During that time, I've found that there are many photographers who struggle to edit photos. That's why I made this video (13:45) called Five Secrets To Being a Great Photo Editor.

If you're starting out, there's no barrier to entry because I show you how to edit photos using this open-source editor, an amazing yet free software. Most professionals don't want you to know these photo editing secrets, because it creates more talented competition. I'm against that, because if you want to learn about editing, you should be able to.

I'm telling you the secrets anyway, because
I believe there should be no barriers to entry.

For instance, you'll get expert advice on working with gradients or blends to make your photos amazing.
